Our founder

Eric MacDonald, PhD

El Paso Instruments was founded by Dr. Eric MacDonald, an internationally recognized researcher in additive manufacturing and 3D printed structural electronics. His work spans printed circuitry embedded within 3D printed structures, architected lattice materials, and the instrumentation and process controls that make advanced manufacturing repeatable.

With deep roots in El Paso and a career bridging academia, national laboratories, and industry, Dr. MacDonald established the company to translate leading-edge research into manufacturable products and partnerships.
